Improving design skills

I led a team of 6 product designers at Avito, world’s largest classified service. Here are some of my key milestones:
• Designed the service that reduced the cost of implementing changes in the category tree by 55% and TTM reduction of changes per category in days by 36%;
• Developed a design concept for new way of searching for automotive spare parts to increase the number of deals per user with search;
• Described in details and rebooted the process of design review, made it two times faster;
• Hired three designers in three months, helped to achieve teams OKRs in a process of sustainable growth of the cluster;
• Established team ceremonies: 1-1, weekly syncs, regular UI challenges to help designers harden their skills. All designers regularly passed performance reviews with Good and Extra results.

I managed a team of 8 product designers in Payments and Transfers division at Sberbank, the largest bank in Eastern Europe.
• Redesigned the main screen of Payments and Transfers for the Sberbank Online app, impacting 70 million monthly active users and rising the amount of repeated transfers by 150%.
• Developed a new system for aggregation of payments for a car and a house;
• Hired 6 new designers, implemented a growth and development system for product designers;
• Mentored another senior designer to succeed me after I was offered a new position.

I worked as a senior product designer in a team that developed a stream of user impressions and emotions in the Sberbank Online app.
• Designed from a scratch a feature that allows the clients of Sberbank Online to set their own photos on a splash screen that is shown when the app is launched.
• Redesigned the catalogue of Wallpapers in the Sberbank Online app, added sharing of sets of wallpapers and detailed information about their contents (such as paintings of world-famous russian artists and promising illustrators).
• Became responsible for managing the creative tasks in the team’s backlog after my PO left;
• Managed a team of 3 communication designers that created illustrations and motion graphics for the app

I was responsible for 4 products: Personal Investment Accounts, Personal Pension Plans, Investment Life Insurance and Life Insurance with Savings.
• I designed the account creation of a Personal Investment Account for the Sberbank Online Desktop and App and post-sale operations for other products so it was no longer obligatory for the clients of the bank to visit branches, they could do such operations from their phones;
• I was an active member of working group established to create mass investments for 60 million existing clients. I designed concepts for investments showcase, integration of account operations with the in-app messenger, robo-advising (risk assessment, auto-balancing portfolio).
