Teachers2IT: "Basics of Visual Design" for teachers | July 8th - July 29th 2024
I had the privilege to lead a course on the fundamentals of design as part of the Teachers2IT initiative by the Kharkiv IT Cluster. This course, aimed at educators, provided a comprehensive introduction to design principles, tools, and techniques essential for creating impactful digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
	•	Delivered lectures on design fundamentals, covering topics such as user experience (UX) design, user interface (UI) design, and product design.
	•	Conducted interactive sessions and hands-on workshops to enhance practical understanding and application of design concepts.

This experience enriched my skills in educational content delivery, public speaking, and mentoring, while also contributing to the professional growth of educators in the field of design.

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product and Project Managers, Developers, and Product Founders, to understand project requirements and goals;
- Participating in workshops with clients and stakeholders to brainstorm ideas, explore design concepts, and align project goals;
- Creating UX research, wireframes, high-fidelity mock-ups, and prototypes using Figma for new and existing products and features;
- Designing visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for web applications, websites, CRMs, and SaaS platforms, following best practices in UI design;
- Developing and maintaining a Design System to ensure brand consistency across multiple products, and documentation to streamline design processes and improve collaboration efficiency;
- Collaborating with developers to ensure the successful implementation of UI designs, providing guidance and support during the development process;
- Assisting the testing team in testing the developed features.

Main task: redesign of the online store & constructor for photobooks. Carried out user research through targeted interviews, identifying and solving user key problems, and usability testing before and after the redesign. I focused on user-centered design principles created simple and intuitive user interfaces.

Projects:
1. Landing page for “ART CUBE digital agency” marketing agency. The task consisted not only in the design, but also in the mark up the website on Tilda.
2. An e-shop for “ASTEX” (Ukrainian manufacturer of window and door fittings). The work included all stages: research, analysis & visual design.
3. Website redesign for Kharkov A-level IT school. The work was diverse: creating IA, prototyping, creating new visual solutions and animation for all pages of the website.

I was a regular instructor for several courses at this school:
❖ Web Design Advanced. I led the e-commerce module and was an active instructor. Additionally, I substituted for instructors on the following modules: branding, landing page, mobile application, and motion design basics.
❖ Graphic Design. I introduced students to graphic design basics and helped them create their first branding.
❖ Web Design Basic. This course was designed and conducted entirely by myself. It was intended for beginners who wanted to understand if web design suited them. As a result of just a few classes, students received a landing page.

In addition, I helped organize the "Project Life 3.0" IT conference and was one of the speakers at the workshop.

My main responsibilities in all of these courses include:
- Creating a learning program
- Writing lectures and preparing presentations
- Giving educational lectures
- Conducting workshops and practice lessons
- Mentoring students
- Tracking progress
- Checking homeworks
- Grading and examining students

My tasks included:
- Corporate identity redesign;
- Dеsign of promotional materials and catalogs;
- Target audience analysis;
- Identification of key user pains and creating hypotheses for their solution;
- Design an e-store.

Сreation of various printed materials (outdoor advertising, promo materials, redesign and design of corporate identity & logo design), after preparation these materials for printing.

As a graphic designer, I was designed different promo materials, outdoor advertising, packaging, and logos for different projects. As a web designer, I was creating SMM for the car service station “GUR”.

Since October 2015 started working as a graphic designer and since 2017 I work as a web designer. During this time I worked on a lot of projects.

- Co-supervisor of students' graduation projects;
- Software teacher (Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, Adbe Illustrator)
