Working with engineers

Genvid provides a Cloud-based interactive streaming solution that creates revolutionary live broadcasts that work on any live stream service. Genvid’s clients include the biggest game publishers in the world, as well as video game engine creators, game consoles, streaming platforms, and indie developers
Some of the responsibilities and experiences in this work:
	Design the highly available architectures for two main services in the company for millions of users
	Leading the team of infrastructure engineers to deploy the designed cloud architecture
	Designing and implementing the Bitbucket pipelines for services and infrastructure
	Advice stakeholders on highly available, disaster tolerant, and secure cloud architectures
	Ongoing optimization of efficiency, performance, and cost
	Design and implement APIs
	Design and develop high-available cloud-based services using Kubernetes and AWS EKS
Tech Stack: Kubernetes, Terraform, Different AWS services (like EKS, Route53, IAM, EC2, RDS, DyanamoDB, S3, Athena, CloudFront, WAF, …), Datadog, Git, Bitbucket, Jira …

Hitachi Vantara (HV) works with enterprise-level organizations in different domains such as Governments, Banks, Health Care, etc. In HV, we provide creative cloud-based solutions to our customers and help them to develop and maintain their cloud strategies. Offering CI/CD pipelines also helps to accelerate their cloud migration journey.
Some of the responsibilities and experiences in this work:
	Participate in deep architectural discussions to build confidence and ensure customer success when building new and migrating existing applications, software, and services to public cloud platforms
	Conduct deep-dive hands-on education/training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using public cloud services
	Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering & support teams
	Design the required architecture based on the requirements of the client
	Oversee the cloud computing strategies of clients
	Work with the delivery team to develop the designed architecture
	Author or contribute to customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, tutorials, etc.

Main responsibilities:
	Participating in the Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud Computing projects.
	Working with other MSc and Ph.D. students. The main focus of my work was designing the required cloud-based architectures and algorithms while considering the constraints and requirements of multiple scenarios.

As the instructor of a programming course, I encouraged the students to love programming and not to afraid of developing an application. I usually teach while explaining every detail. Also, I show several real examples in the world to show students that you will be very soon capable of creating such great applications.

In this project which was partial with Concordia University and Ericsson, I was designing cloud architectures for scalable and elastic multimedia conferencing applications such as distance learning and massively multiplayer online games (MMOGs). In addition, I designed algorithms to scale in an efficient way to reduce cost, while meeting the required quality of services. During this project, I proposed platforms as a service (PaaS) that will enable the provisioning of scalable and elastic multimedia conferencing applications. I also research and proposed the corresponding Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
My main responsibilities in this work:
	Designing scalable and elastic cloud architectures (in all SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS layers)
	Designing scalable algorithms for resource allocation to reduce cost and increase QoS
	Designing and developing APIs and RESTful web services
	Documenting all processes and writing academic papers
	Developing and deploying applications on public clouds such as AWS

I was leading a team of 3 developers to create the web-based portal for the company. Also, I was designing the required networks to install different multimedia instruments (e.g. IP based Cameras, Projectors, etc.) in the projects we had.
