Techlead at LottieFiles
I'm a Tech Lead at LottieFiles, where I build the runtimes that play Lottie animations on the web, Android and iOS. Most of my work is in Rust, C, TypeScript and JavaScript: high-performance players compiled to WebAssembly, cross-platform SDKs, and the web libraries developers build on top of them. I also contribute to open-source graphics and rendering projects, and in my spare time I write small renderers and libraries in C and Rust.
I've worked across the whole stack, from front-end apps to low-level systems code, and I enjoy helping engineers figure out where they want to go next.
What I offer:
General Mentorship: Career paths, growing into senior and lead roles, personal projects, and moving from web development into systems or graphics programming.
Mock Coding Interviews: Realistic sessions on data structures and algorithms, with detailed feedback on your approach and communication.
โI really liked our conversation. Ashraf was really helpful in terms of my focus on my career going forward and how i can take my next steps to getting my dream job.โ
โAshraf was helpful in navigating the potential obstacles in the field of software engineering for someone just getting their foot in the door. He elaborated how to stay sharp with problem solving and engineering skills in the age of AI and how it's important to still understand the craft and leverage it, not fully delegate it on AI. I recommend him for anyone in SWE field looking for a guidance.โ
โAbdelrahman was incredibly motivating and communicative during our session, and I had an amazing experience with him. His subject-matter expertise was outstanding, and he expertly helped me refine my plan in novel ways I strongly advise scheduling a consultation with himโ
