Job responsibilities:
Creating IPR awareness in the company by training new and existing employees on Intellectual Property Rights, competitive analysis, IP enforcement, etc. 
Provide counseling on different aspect of IPRs including patent, trademark, copyright, unfair competition, design protection, confidentiality & development agreements. 
Helping engineers and R&D professionals from various TML locations, to generate new concepts/ideas and assisting to get ideas.
Organizing and conducting innovation drive within the organization, through workshops, seminars, presentations, IPR newsletters etc.
Drafting specifications of patents to be filed in India and abroad - USPTO or PCT - and coordinating with inventors and replying to queries of Examiners at the various Patent Offices.
Coordinating and interacting with outside attorneys about the filing and subsequently about the prosecution status of patent applications filed in India and outside.

The profile involved working on Patent Drafting, Patent Analytics, Patent Searches (Novelty, FTO, Validation, State of Art) and Patent Landscapes on inventions relating to the mechanical engineering domain.

Drafting Patent applications. Reviewing complete and provisional specification drafting projects undertaken by drafting teams and search projects undertaken by search teams. Conducting Patentability searches on online databases such as Delphion, Micropat, USPTO website etc. Advising foreign clients on patentability issues of their inventions by suggesting necessary changes in the claims/claim structure. Handling infringement analysis queries.
