Its an interesting role. A role where you are provided both freedom and high responsibility - a deadly combination.
I work on helping the organization provide a quality product by extending my service as a software tester. I provide feedback on the product and the user experience which gets translated into requirements to be implemented in future releases. I do provide training/coaching to the QA teams as and when necessary. It is an interesting role to be involved in.

Test as per requirement documents
Interact with programmers and other stakeholders

I practice, learn, unlearn, share, improve my skills as a TESTER in Weekend Testing.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Facilitation of Weekend Testing - Bangalore Chapter.
* Working in a team, Practicing some of the skills of  a tester - Observation, Questioning, Critical Thinking, Practical Thinking, Consolidating Reports, Interacting with customers [Testers, Communities]
* Assisting testers to blog and test.

Main responsibilities include

- Reviewing Product Requirement Documents 
  and providing feedback.
- Create and Update Test Plan, Test Strategy, Test Suite.
- Update Test Results after every test execution cycle.
- Report defects and track defect status.
- Participate in bug scrub meetings and work with engineering to get   the defects fixed.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts based on test cases.

Main responsibilities included:
- Testing software based on specifications. 
- Writing and Executing Test Cases.
