About Akshay Kapoor
Senior Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps Architect at Amazon Web Services
I am a software engineer and cloud architect with over 16+ years of experience in technology. My journey has taken me from software development, to operations, and then to DevOps and Consulting. Along the way, I’ve had the chance to work in different parts of the world, which has given me unique cultural exposure and a broad perspective on how teams work.
At Amazon Web Services (AWS), I serve as a trusted advisor, helping enterprises create smart solutions with AWS services that connect technical strategies with business goals. I am also the author of the book AWS DevOps Simplified, where I share what I have learned over the years.
One of my greatest joys is mentoring others - helping people grow and succeed in their careers and lives is truly rewarding. I live in Munich, Germany, and I’m always happy to talk about life here, especially if the conversation includes beer!
