Remitly is a mobile payments service that enables consumers to conveniently make person-to-person international money transfers from the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. 

I worked on improving the interface and experience on all fronts (Android and iOS native apps, Website, Web App, and Mobile Web App) of the product. This included creating wireframes, user flows, UI tool kits, asset libraries, interactive prototypes, user research, information architecture, QA, usability studies, and a good sprinkle of visual design to help reinforce the company brand throughout.

Appature is one of many companies acquired by IMS Health in 2013. The company has since been a part of a huge ongoing brand and operations alignment initiative. The software made by Appature is a platform that aggregates sales and marketing data in order to enable marketing with simple tools to easily mine data, launch campaigns, and get actionable insight. 

I implemented a more structured design-first process, more streamlined user flows, interfaces, and experiences within the software. I aided in developing a new, more meaningful and structured brand identity for IMS Health.

My passion for Design led me to take on Teaching Assistant roles for various Information and Graphic Design courses at the School of Interactive Arts & Technology and the Publishing Program at Simon Fraser University. I assisted in delivering course content and mentored young students, giving them more critical and constructive feedback to enrich their projects and design thinking.

One Big Movement (OBM) is a not-for-profit organization based in British Columbia that strives to create a positive and lasting impact in the lives of low-income children in the local community through the organization of program initiatives. As the Creative Director, I designed and enforced all aspects of the organization's brand onto their marketing collateral. My designs varied from project logos for their programs to print designs, video promotions and website assets.

Research In Motion, now simply BlackBerry, is one of the world leaders in technology, and is the creator of BlackBerry Smart Phone and BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet. I worked with the Video Design team of the User Experience Design Department, creating innovative solutions to ongoing User Experience problems. I also created motion graphics and video animations for the BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet and BlackBerry smart phones.

Free Vancity is a company dedicated to hashing out the latest and greatest news regarding FREE events, giveaways, tips, and gatherings in Vancouver. It is a fun and lively company that helps represent what Vancouver and its citizens are all about. I was responsible for creating and managing the company's visual identity, including all marketing and promotion materials ranging from printed designs, video promotions and website assets.

Enactus, formerly known as "SIFE", is a worldwide community of student, academic and business leaders committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a better more sustainable world.

I provide advice and feedback to the current Creative Director and his team to help guide and build the progress and operations of the organization within the creative realm.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR (2010 - 2012) ...
I worked with the Simon Fraser University team to effectively execute community projects to instigate positive change. I designed and managed the overall branding of the organization and directed all of the design and multimedia projects taken on by the team. The branding work I created was used from early 2009 up until the worldwide rebrand of "SIFE" to "Enactus" in August 2012.

Simon Fraser University (SFU) grows some of the best and most innovative minds in the industry. Its Co-op program is a well known and established part of the University, having strong ties with some of the biggest companies out there. 

I worked as the Marketing & Promotions Assistant for SFU's School of Interactive Arts & Technology and Computing Science Co-op Office. I was responsible for creating marketing collateral for student recruitment campaigns, as well as coordinating information sessions to help students gain co-op placements to begin to make their mark within the industry.

I work closely with companies to develop and build the ideal brand and digital product experience that resonates with the needs of their customers. My roles include researching the trends of a company's target audience, identifying areas of development within their product, creating internal design processes and systems for product teams, implementing and rolling out their ideas to the general public, and tracking product performance post-launch.

This not only helps increase the adoptability and scalability of their product, but also nurtures and grows a company's brand, and ultimately, their business.
