About Aleksandr Tenyotkin

UX Design Manager at Google

I am a UX Design Manager at Google, currently working on the design system for Search.

Previously I was UX Creative Director at GoDaddy, focusing on the product design system, and working with all UX teams, engineering, and brand teams to help author, refine and deploy a best-in-class design language across all customer touch points.

Prior to GoDaddy I worked with software design agencies, emerging technology startups and global brands on product & design strategy, research and innovation frameworks, and building teams and design-minded cultures. I have a background in business, engineering, and design, and have worked across entertainment, medical, retail, customer support, defense, financial, automotive, telecomm, and other industries.

At Hulu I led design and product management for Hulu VR — one of the first virtual reality applications designed for comfortable consumption of long-form TV content across Samsung Gear, Oculus, HTC Vive, Sony VR, and Valve Index platforms.

My education and career in art, design, and technology started early — beginning in traditional graphic and print design, and eventually transitioning into interaction and product design. Throughout my 20+ year journey of traditional and digital design I have been fortunate to have helped many businesses and individuals achieve their goals and reach higher potentials by offering them and their customers a better experience. But I have also made many mistakes along the way and learned a lot from my experiences — both from being a hands-on designer as well as being a leader. One thing I've learned for sure: Building software is hard, and building a business around software is even harder. Through that lens, I'm available to help anyone — at any level — get to their next. Please reach out.
