Creating a product vision

- Promoted and got buy-in for a new registration flow for invited users that
resulted in a 90% reduction in drop-off.

- Assessed existing content design resources, identified gaps, and created a word
list, design system, and localisation training.

- Spearheaded a joint design system for content and product design, liaising with
content, product, and engineers to see where more documentation was needed.

- Managed end-to-end design for a complex USB order form, ensuring strict compliance with
government regulations.

- Led the User Research OKR group, facilitating user feedback collection through
surveys and fostering relationships with Customer Support stakeholders.

- Created a product system for Meta's Central Integrity product suite that resulted
in a 16% engagement increase in products protecting users from severe harms;
as well as a redesign that led to a 2500% increase in user engagement.

- Developed new standards and designs for Integrity Instagram and Facebook products and created documentation and governance models.

- Redesigned an experience that led to a 49% increase in sign-ups to an external
partner site. This experience was so successful that it's been adopted by other
tech companies like TikTok.

- Designed a new login flow for compromised accounts that helped significantly
more users recover their accounts.

- Since the product system I helped developed had a huge impact across Meta, I regularly
gave presentations about our work to teams across Meta.

- As a former Instructional Designer, I gave feedback to CDs who were
developing our Integrity Content Design onboarding program.

Provide extensive feedback on film, TV, and podcast scripts regarding their structure, plot, character arcs, and marketability.

- Remotely coach college applicants by examing at least three drafts per essay and consulting them on story, style, and generally appealing to the admissions committee.

I helped acclaimed screenwriter Felicia Pride revamp and update her course The Creative Comeback.

To make the course go from its first version at $21 a pop to a premium $100+ course, I advised and executed the following:

– Analysis of the course: content and marketing
– Pricing evaluation
– Evaluated teaching platform, helped migrate to a new platform
– Edited and added images to individual course pages
– Wrote a new landing page
– Wrote landing page video
– Created a six-week course launch marketing plan
– Wrote email newsletter blurbs and dedicated blasts
– Advised on video production, giving feedback on all videos.
– Handled all student communications, such as welcome emails
– Developed lead generators/freebies
– Created an exhaustive list of blog and social post ideas
– Wrote launch copy for all social platforms.

My company focuses on internal communications, content design, and instructional design with lots of writing and editing jobs thrown in! 

- Guide employees at companies like Google, Microsoft, and Taboola in content planning. Projects include presentations, websites, marketing campaigns, and more for external and internal use.
- Help clients in AI, software, and other techincal professions translate their ideas into effective trainings, marketing collateral, and presentations. 
- Designed an English interview course and an effective presentations course for international business people.
- Teach clients the structure of effective communication in presentations, emails, website copy, and articles.
- Created internal communications roadmap for small businesses, including job aids, proposals, negotiation paperwork, explanation of work processes, job descriptions, etc.
- Prepared clients for interviews and languages proficiency tests.

- Wrote and designed lesson materials for 20 reading, writing, listening, and speaking classes to be used at Zhejiang Normal University, EF’s client. My teaching materials and classroom performance impressed ZNU and ZNU contracted EF for another year of service.

- Managed a classroom of up to 55 students with varied English levels.

- Taught students academic writing and how to analyze texts for deeper meaning.

- Wrote Facebook and Google ads to attract study participants for the country’s leading medical study recruitment agency. Clients included: Pfizer, Novartis, Roche, Lilly, AstraZenca, and many more.

- Worked with marketing department to track ad performance and which ads were performing best.

- Wrote copy for all marketing collateral including: brochures, patient instruction manuals, letters to doctors, banners, and more.

- Assisted this Netherlands skincare company in the rebranding of their website, packaging, and collateral. 

- Distinguished unique needs of B2B and B2C audiences and created a distinctive voice for each.

Hyatt House was creating a concierge like page for its White Plains location. I oversaw the content for the site, researching the area's points of interest and providing Hyatt House with written recommendations and photos of each attraction.

- Edit and proofread white papers for mobile advertising firm that utilizes big data to discuss industry trends in the mobile gaming world. 
- Write original copy for various parts of the white papers that require summarization or further explanation.

-  Successfully produced a week of film segments for a client in California specializing in sports video for teens while residing in PA.

- Curated content for client pages and social media platforms, including articles, videos, and more to spark conversations amongst users. 

- Created lists of topics for our hired talent (including video bloggers and reporters) and helped prep them for each film shoot and/or interview. 

-Assisted in various writing projects including writing style guides and developing copy for graphics on video and photography projects.

- Consulted with subject-matter-experts to develop the DIRECTV microsites for DTV advertising and sustainability.
- Assisted UX designers by writing FAQ for products andtesting and implementing different instructional (UX) copy.
- Helped spearhead the DIRECTV blog, an early content marketingendeavour, to drive tune-in and subscriptions.
- Created promotional copy for banners, pages, andsweepstakes.

Worked with Director of PR to write and edit business profiles and coordinate photo and video shoots for finance industry events.

Produced independent web series, created release strategy, and built its social media following.

Edited photos for Melanie and made blog posts that included the photos and a write up about the photo shoot.

Wrote direct mail and e-mails requesting donations for national and individual TPL projects. Researched and wrote tailored acknowledgement letters for individual major gift donors that were signed by TPL’s CEO.

Researched and fact-checked information for Director Tiffany Shlain's feature documentary "Connected" that premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.

Successfully convinced local businesses to both volunteer their locations for free, as well as donate their products (especially food) to the film without cost. Hired and managed all crew members and the production of the films' websites.

Selected and photographed people for San Francisco club column 'One Night Stand,’ from which my photo was chosen as the cover of the national Gay.com website in Spring 2008.

Researched and wrote copy about various travel destinations to be syndicated to Google, AOL, MSN, Starwood Hotels, American Airlines, and more. Worked with Assistant Manager to edit copy from other writers.

Edited promotional flyers, contacted the press, maintained mailing lists, planned and prepared for events, greeted and accommodated event participants, wrote letters to grant supporters to insure continued funding.

Selected, paid, and archived all expenses related to the facilitation of events as accounts payable associate, edited and circulated promotional flyers, prepared for events and accommodated event attendees.
