About Alina Chupakhina

Senior Unity Developer at Playkot

Hi, I’m Alina 👋 Senior Unity/C# Developer with 7+ years in game development.

🚨 Please note: I run all sessions in Russian

I’ve worked on live games and different prototypes, mostly focusing on clean architecture, performance, and systems that scale well. I do gameplay, UI, LiveOps stuff, and also experiment with AI in development.

I also have teaching experience 📚 I taught Unity game development for 2 years at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and later worked as a Unity lecturer at Scream School.

I mentor developers at different stages — from beginners to mid/senior level. I try to explain things simply and help you feel more confident in what you’re doing ✨

As a Women in Games ambassador, I'd be especially happy to see women developers here. Everyone is welcome, though 💛

I can help you with Starting a career in gamedev (Unity, C#, how to get your first job) 🚀 Growing to mid/senior level (architecture, decision-making, confidence) 📈 Code architecture and project structure (Unity, ECS, MVVM, Clean Architecture) 🧩 Performance optimization and profiling ⚡ Integrating AI tools into development workflows 🤖 Interview prep and CV/portfolio review 💼 Working with designers and other teams 🤝

Sessions with Alina Chupakhina

  • General Mentorship Session (60 min): Not sure what to learn next, whether you're ready for the next level, or how to break into games at all? Let's talk it through. I'll ask about your background, projects and constraints, give you an honest read on where you stand, and we'll leave with two or three concrete things to work on. Bring your CV or a link to what you're building. Sessions are held in Russian
  • Mock Interview for Unity Developers (60 min): A realistic technical interview for Unity/C# roles, followed by honest feedback. We'll cover C# fundamentals, Unity internals, architecture and a live task — calibrated to the role you're actually targeting. The last 20 minutes are feedback: what worked, what didn't, and what to fix before the real thing. Tell me in advance which company or level you're aiming for. Sessions are held in Russian
  • Your Unity Developer Roadmap (30 min): A short recurring check-in to actually move, not just plan. Wherever you're starting from — first steps into games or growing inside a studio — we agree on a goal in the first session, then meet every two weeks: review what you shipped, unblock what's stuck, and set the next tasks. Code review, architecture questions and portfolio feedback all fit here. Come with a specific question — 30 minutes goes fast. Sessions are held in Russian

What mentees say

“Coming from design, I wanted to understand the dev side of our collaboration better. Alina clearly explained where our roles overlap and split, answered all my questions, and even pointed me toward the right people for the next steps. Super helpful session!"”

Alisa Smelkova, UX Designer at Freelance

“My mentor conducted a very helpful hands-on session where we coded together. She explained Unity UI development concepts clearly, using practical and visual examples that made them much easier to understand. She was always patient whenever I struggled with something and took the time to explain every detail step by step until everything became clear.”

Olia Chupakhina, UI/UX Lead Designer at Cubic Games

“The atmosphere on the session was very comfortable and relaxing, which is very important when you are new to the topic you are talking about and afraid to look dumb Alina created a friendly space, covered all the topics I wanted to discuss, gave very valuable practical advice and was eager to share her insights and experience.”
