Making better tech choices

As a Senior Product Manager, I'm responsible for VTEX's product strategy for B2C merchants. My focus is on mapping opportunities for growing our B2C customer base and increasing their success using our platform, and then prioritizing and coordinating the execution of these opportunities among various core technology teams responsible for specific modules (payment gateway, checkout, order management, catalog, etc). It's also part of my job to influence our sales strategy for B2C so it matches our main product investments, being an strategic interface between tech and growth leadership for this market segment.

Responsible for assisting students from the Product Management track during their learning process, hosting 1:1 sessions with them to talk about the role of the PM inside companies, product mindset and maturity, methods and frameworks, career development, and the content of the courses.

After a period mainly focused on business modeling, I transitioned to the Product Manager role to work with VTEX IO (https://vtex.com/us-en/vtex-io/), a proprietary development platform created to extend our core commerce capabilities. In this position, I defined the vision and delivered the strategy for our infrastructure and application development products, including CLIs, coding frameworks and other devtools used both internally by other product teams and externally by customers and partners.

At the beginning of 2023, after working with technical products for a couple of years, I moved to our Payments division, one of our most important core modules as it's a key piece of our revenue model. In this position, I focused on increasing our ecosystem of payment providers, leading integration initiatives globally, and improving our fraud prevention mechanisms, delivering better protection and optimized budget management for merchants.

As a Business Architect my role involved mainly studying, building, and evolving the business models of our products alongside our PMs, PMMs and the product leadership, including pricing, business/partnership development, growth/sales enablement, legal viability, and operations.

My biggest project in this position was the global expansion of the VTEX App Store, our marketplace for plug-ins and extensions, which demanded planning and enabling a global payments infrastructure, defining the product's first P&L structure, searching for relevant partners across different regions, and building and executing highly scalable processes. With this initiative, we grew by more than 100% the number of published plug-ins in a short timespan and started a relevant new revenue stream for the company, from zero to XMM BRL/year.

Returning to WarnerMedia after a few months dedicated to college, I tried to bring more of a technical approach to my previous BI role, combining database modeling, regular and near-real-time dashboarding, and product analytics frameworks to evaluate our strategies and keep track of our performance in the product team. My efforts mainly focused on our news portal and sports streaming (formerly EI Plus and Estádio TNT Sports, now part of Max).

Alongside my peers, I modeled and implemented our first data warehouse in the country, using AWS Redshift and SaaS data integration solutions, and released and managed a new self-service data analysis layer using Metabase. These replatforming efforts for our data stack started specifically in Brazil but, after engaging internal users with the new tooling, they were also replicated in Chile and Argetina.

Mixed product management and growth responsibilities for our sports live streaming product in Brazil (formerly EI Plus, now Estádio TNT Sports) in this position, being the DRI in the team for new subscription revenue, D2C CAC, and growth marketing budget.

I was responsible for the app's web and mobile checkout journeys, focusing on reducing friction on subscription and activation for new D2C and B2B customers. Combining my data analysis background with user discovery and experimentation techniques, some numbers I delivered were a >100% increase in the global conversion rate and a ~20% reduction in the subscription page bounce rate.

Also, part of my role was to unify positioning and performance marketing efforts across different channels (social media, paid media, cast and influencers, TV shows, fan communities, etc), plus implementing SEO and ASO strategies myself. On this front, I delivered a ~40% reduction in CAC and some important records, such as the best UEFA Champions League season (18-19) in new subscriber revenue.

Performed ad-hoc studies focused on specific campaigns and measured our performance for social media profiles, digital products, paid media efforts, and TV audience; and automated part of our data generation, processing, and analysis flows in partnership with the Engineering team.

Also led and participated in several projects, including the renewal of broadcasting rights for the UEFA Champions League in Brazil, our 2018 FIFA World Cup's coverage, and the creation and launch of both new digital products and local TV shows.

Assisted in data analysis and dashboard development focused on the strategies and performance of the Esporte Interativo (now TNT Sports) channel network, part of the sports division at WarnerMedia in Brazil, both for digital and TV. Worked horizontally with several teams of the company, such as social media, paid media, content, TV programming, and digital products.
