Hello! I'm Mel, originally from Indonesia and currently residing in Munich, where I work for a B2B2C SaaS company.
Having lived, studied, and worked across Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, China (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong), and England, I am keen to mentor individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences interested in design and product leadership and strategy.
Since the early 2000s, I have been "prototyping my career" in the design and education domains. I led projects that ranged from brand strategy design, physical and digital product/service (UI/UX) design, curriculum design, and designing organisational structures and the people's career paths.
I have had the privilege of leading in-house digital product teams, ranging from 10 to over 200 interdisciplinary designers, primarily within the travel and retail eCommerce sectors.
I also worked with multinational corporations, startups, NGOs, and governmental organisations in solving business and user experience problems creatively.
