As a User Experience Researcher at ShopBack, I am responsible for deeply understanding user needs and behaviors through both quantitative and qualitative research methods. My work focuses on:

1. Defining Business Questions: Collaborating with the product and commercial teams to dissect business issues and translate them into quantifiable research objectives.

2. Qualitative Research: Conducting user interviews and surveys to gain insights into user pain points, needs, and behavioral patterns.

3. Quantitative Research: Analyzing datasets, including user behavioral data, CS feedback, and market trends, to provide data-driven insights for product decisions. 

4. User Testing: Planning and executing user testing sessions to evaluate the usability and effectiveness of ShopBack's products. This includes designing test scenarios, moderating sessions, analyzing feedback, and deriving actionable insights to improve the user experience.

5.  User Experience Assessment:
- Auditing current user flows to evaluate usability and efficiency.
- Auditing internal processes to identify potential optimization points and bottlenecks.
- Auditing user flows to pinpoint issues and challenges in the user experience.

6. Project Management Skills：
- Organizational skills to effectively manage research projects.
- Proactive communication with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress.

Through my work, I provide deep user insights to ShopBack's product teams and help them optimize products to enhance user experience. I also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and marketers, to ensure our products align with user needs and business goals.

During my tenure at Mozilla, I played a pivotal role in bridging the understanding of mobile behaviors across Southeast Asia. This involved:

1. Cocreation and Collaboration: Working closely with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team to co-create strategies and solutions that address the unique mobile behaviors prevalent in Southeast Asia. Through collaborative efforts, we were able to leverage each team member's expertise to develop innovative approaches to understanding user needs.

2. User Testing and Prototype Testing: Conducting rigorous user testing and prototype testing within Sprint cycles to validate product ideas and iterate on designs rapidly. By integrating user feedback early and often, we ensured that our products met the evolving needs and expectations of users in Southeast Asia.

3. Agile Research Methods: Employing agile research methods in fast-paced innovation projects to adapt quickly to changing requirements and market dynamics. This approach allowed us to gather actionable insights efficiently and make informed decisions throughout the product development lifecycle.

In addition to these responsibilities, I led initiatives to conduct field research in emerging countries such as Thailand, Myanmar.  Our objective was to gain a deeper understanding of the digital landscape in Asia and identify opportunities for product development. Through these research expeditions, we were able to scope out product opportunities and tailor our offerings to better serve the needs of users in these diverse markets.

At Steelcase, I actively engaged in monitoring the digital transformation landscape and its influence on office behaviors across diverse Asian markets, specifically in India, China, and Singapore. My role encompassed:

1. Monitoring the digital transformation landscape and analyzing how it influenced office behaviors in diverse Asian markets.

2. Organizing and conducting workshops to translate insights gleaned from research into actionable strategies for both internal and external stakeholders. These workshops involved engaging various stakeholders such as business leaders, marketers, sales executives, and designers.

3. Conducting expert interviews with professionals in both academic and corporate settings to gain deeper insights into research studies and industry trends. These interviews were conducted with a range of organizations, including multinational corporations such as Huawei, GE, and Microsoft, as well as academic institutions like Tongji University, spanning across India and China.

During my tenure at Godrej, I underwent cross-cultural design research in India alongside the IIT Institute of Design for a 2-month project.
- Developed strategic business plans and healthcare solutions targeting young professionals in Mumbai.
- Conducted research to understand local behaviors regarding health and wellness.
- Identified opportunities to address user pain points effectively with Godrej's services.

In my collaboration with Jan Chipchase in Myanmar, our research heavily relied on ethnography methods to gain a deep understanding of user behavior in the digital landscape before smartphones became widespread in the country. Our primary objective was to evaluate the feasibility of a microfinance service tailored to meet the short-term financial needs of rural farmers.

Activities:

1. Collaborated closely with Jan Chipchase and Proximity Design to conduct ethnography research and photography, which were instrumental in capturing the daily lives, challenges, and aspirations of rural communities in Myanmar.

2. Engaged in participatory research activities, including workshops and user interviews, to actively involve rural communities in the co-creation process of microfinance solutions.

3. Prototyping and prototype testing phases, where I developed tangible representations of potential solutions and collected feedback from users to iteratively refine them.

4. Utilized analytical and synthesis skills to process research findings and derive actionable insights, guiding the design and implementation of microfinance services.

5. Integrated various design methodologies throughout the project lifecycle to ensure a comprehensive understanding of user needs and preferences, facilitating the development of effective solutions for rural farmers.

During my time pursuing my master's degree at the IIT Institute of Design, I had the opportunity to work part-time with Wrigley on package design projects. In this role, I collaborated closely with the Skittles and Doublemint product teams, where my responsibilities included:

1. Defining packaging requirements and objectives in collaboration with the Skittles and Doublemint product teams.

2. Leading the conceptualization and design of innovative packaging solutions for Skittles and Doublemint projects.

3. Developing prototypes and mock-ups to experiment with different packaging designs and concepts, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and consumer preferences.

4. Conducting brainstorming sessions to explore a variety of packaging options and identify the most effective solutions, considering factors such as functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability.
