My name is Andres; I'm a Mexican Industrial designer who loves to ask why. Why do things work? Why are things made in a certain way? Why not do things differently? Why not change? This mindset has led me to think of all the different possibilities to solve resigned problems. Problemas that most people would think, "Oh, so this is how it has always been." Instead of filling the voids with assumptions, I love to go out and ask questions to fill in those gaps. I have done this and shared this mindset at every place I have worked, injecting it into my coworkers and direct reports to create a culture that knows that change is inevitable, but progression is a choice.
I studied industrial design in Mexico City and have an MBA in strategic design from the California College of Arts. I have 15 years of experience working for national and international companies that expand from FMCG to banking, aviation, mobility and more.
I want to share this mindset with as many people as possible to create change and impact. I enjoy listening to other points of view and using them to enrich a solution. I believe that collaboration is key in both design and everyday things, and that is why I want to become a mentor.
