About Ariane Moraes Bueno Rodrigues

HCI/UX and Data Visualization mentor at PUC-Rio

I'm Ariane, PhD in Computer Science from PUC-Rio (Brazil). With a rich experience of over 18 years, I have been deeply immersed in the dynamic domains of user experience and human-computer interaction. My journey goes beyond traditional roles, incorporating a holistic approach combining technical knowledge with a deep understanding of user needs, resulting from my work as a consultant in large companies like Petrobras.

In addition to my extensive experience with user research, I dedicated another 7 years to data visualization research and projects, especially on data visualization literacy and mentoring. This facet of my career has allowed me to explore innovative solutions and contribute to the evolving technology landscape in the Big Data era.

My commitment to fostering meaningful connections between users and technology is evident in my work, where I strive to create intuitive and seamless experiences. I have always been excited about the intersection between academia and industry, leveraging my skills to bridge the gap between theory and practical application.

Looking to the future, I am interested in contributing to the ever-evolving field of computer science by continually pushing boundaries and redefining what is possible in technology. Let's embark on this journey together, where innovation meets user-centered design, and every project is an opportunity to make a lasting impact.
