Arnau is a creative activist. As Experience Designer his job is to make technology and spaces easy and fun to use and to live in. Trained as musician and designer, he advocates for instilling a humanistic perspective to the design of digital interfaces, spaces, objects, experiences and events as an essential approach to deliver meaningful impact in a context of change. With people at the center of his professional practice, his professional manifesto revolves around social sustainability, collective resilience, interconnected ecosystems, cultural shifts, sensitive experiences and the use of intuitive languages. Inquisitive by nature, he regards challenging situations or disruptions to plans as an opportunity to learn something and meet interesting people.

A T-shaped professional profile, expert in building and producing either physical or digital ‘things’ that works using creativity as a strategic asset. A designer, entrepreneur, co-founder, inventor, lecturer and innovation mentor with strong skills in innovation, critical thinking, aesthetic sensitivity, learning and communicating in a compelling manner.

Well-known in the innovation ecosystem, he has been delivering products, services and strategies for different brands and companies (XGames, RedBull, Dom Perignon, Bacardi, Moët, Indo, Etnia Barcelona) for almost 20 years through his co-founded design studio Amalgama. As entrepreneur and inventor he has also released several products into the market.

His professional quality has been recognised through awards (1st prize ADI-FAD PRO CARTÓN, 1st prize Mercat d’Idees Disseny Barcelona), academic fellowships (Temporary space and exhibition design course, Politecnico di Milano), exhibitions (Tapas “Spanish design for food” de Juli Capella y Ferran Adrià) and publications (ICON magazine, Frame magazine, IW, La Vanguardia). He is a regular lecturer at different innovation summits, such as BIZ Barcelona.

He actually leads and manages Singular, a coworking and phygital community hub in Barcelona. Singular blends a plurality of people, ideas, cultures and professions and is the hotspot where brands and companies come for innovative projects and creative activism.
