How can I ensure my portfolio stands out?
Tell a complete story in your case study, highlighting the problem, what you did, how you did it and the outcome. Describe the challenges you faced and how you overcame them. Include user quotes where possible. Use graphic design elements like color, typography, and hierarchy.
Make your portfolio memorable, but avoid sensory overload. If you don't feel confident in your graphic skills or lack the time, consider hiring a graphic designer for assistance. Please note they should not modify or re-create your actual work products.
What's your background?
Studied architecture and graphic design in the 2000's. Majored in humanities and worked as a business operations consultant. Discovered human-centered design, went back to school for my MBA and slowly pivoted.
