About Ashraf Agili
Ui/UX designer at IKEA
I was born and raised in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where I now lead digital experiences, craft seamless designs, and shape the future of UX. With a Master’s in Visual Communication Design from Rochester Institute of Technology, I’m currently the Digital Experience Leader at IKEA, the Founder of The Ash Grid, and a Web Design Teacher at Future Centre.
Growing up between Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the United States has given me a global perspective, allowing me to embrace diverse cultures and infuse them into my design philosophy. I thrive on solving complex problems, optimizing user experiences, and making technology more intuitive for people.
When I’m not immersed in pixels and user flows, you’ll find me with Arabic music playing in the background, a big cup of coffee in hand, and a curiosity for discovering new flavors—a passion I inherited from my grandfather, who always said, "Your eyes eat before your stomach." That mindset fuels my love for exploring different cuisines and appreciating cultures through their food.
Whether I’m teaching, designing, or leading UX strategies, my goal is simple: create experiences that matter and designs that people remember.

“Amazing session with Ashraf! There was some bug with the session schedule, but we figured it out. He immediately understood my situation and gave me very valuable feedback, thanks a lot! I noticed a negative review on his profile and honestly do not understand how volunteering free time to support people with professional advice can be negatively evaluated ...”
