Co-founder & COO at Neol

Atılım is a community weaver, a facilitator, and an interaction designer who endeavors to create meaningful connections between individuals and organizations, especially within the fields of creativity, design, and technology.

He is the Co-founder and COO at Neol, a community-powered platform for top creative leaders & talent to pursue their most meaningful work.

He studied Mechanical Engineering (İTÜ, Bsc.) Industrial Product Design (İTÜ, Msc.) and Interaction Design (Malmö University, Msc.). Throughout his professional journey, he has worked in technology and creative industry-related fields for over 15 years. In the meantime, he was also active in the field of theatre/performance arts as an actor, performer, and author for over 10 years.

Prior to Neol, he has been part of ATÖLYE, a community-powered creative services organization that places an Academy and a Strategic Design Studio within a vibrant Creative Hub. There he held positions such as community lead, creative hub director, and director of communities, and he helped cultivate and grow ATÖLYE's community for 6.5 years. He shared his experiences by taking part in various conferences, moderating panels, facilitating workshops, and generating literature mainly around community building, organizational culture, creative hubs, and creative industries. With his rigorous work around the community, he has been nominated as the Offline Community Professional of the Year by CMX, a global community of community professionals, in 2020.

He was part of the founding committee of the European Creative Hubs Network (ECHN), a network of pioneering creative hubs across Europe, and acted as a board member and a secretary-general for 4 years. He also worked as a Local Facilitator in the Creative Enterprise Programme developed by Nesta Innovation Foundation and supports capacity-building activities for creative entrepreneurs in Turkey.

In his spare time, he loves jamming with his percussions, hiking in the jungle, playing ping pong, and cycling.
