Design Researcher & Service Designer
Hi, I’m Ayushi!
I’m a design-researcher, and educator originally from India, currently based in the Netherlands.
My background is quite diverse. I started with a Bachelor’s in Fashion Communication, where I worked across visual communication, storytelling, styling, branding, and design strategy. I later moved into teaching and education, working with young designers and students, which taught me a lot about communication, empathy, facilitation, and how differently people approach the same problem.
Wanting to move beyond visual outcomes and understand the bigger systems behind people’s experiences, I pursued an MSc in Strategic Product Design at TU Delft. There, my work became much more focused on service design, design research, systems thinking, behaviour, and inclusion.
Along the way, I’ve worked on projects across healthcare, education, digital services, social innovation, and research, often working with people from very different backgrounds and contexts.
Because my own career has moved across disciplines, countries, and roles, I especially enjoy mentoring people who don’t fit neatly into one design box.
I’d be happy to chat about portfolio storytelling, design research, service and strategic design, career transitions, studying design abroad, multidisciplinary careers, teaching, or simply figuring out what kind of designer you want to become.
I don’t believe mentoring is about having all the answers. I’m much more interested in listening, asking useful questions, sharing what has worked (and what hasn’t) for me, and helping them see their work and options a little more clearly.
