About Aziz Ahmed

Head of Product Design at Interzero Circular Solutions GmbH

I'm a strategic leader who transforms organizations by designing customer centric cultures from the ground up. Over 15 years, I've evolved from individual contributor to Head of Design, pioneering design functions in complex, legacy driven environments and proving that design isn't just about interfaces, it's about shaping business strategy and driving meaningful impact.

At Interzero, I joined as the first product design hire in a 30+ year-old circular economy company serving 50,000+ customers across Europe. I built the product design team from zero to five, introduced the Product Trio model to leadership, and shifted the organization from requirements driven development to evidence based, customer first innovation. I've designed award winning products, established company wide systems, and partnered with leadership to validate new business opportunities through strategic research and design thinking.

Beyond my day job, I'm a builder at heart. I spend weekends vibecoding new ideas for NOQXA, rapidly prototyping products, validating them with real customers, and uncovering market opportunities. This hands-on practice keeps me sharp, connected to emerging tools and methodologies, and constantly learning what works (and what doesn't) when you're moving from concept to reality at speed.

I also invest heavily in the next generation. Through ADPList, I've mentored 86+ designers globally, helping 12 of them land roles at great companies. I believe the best leaders create pathways for others, and I'm committed to building bridges between aspiring designers and real world opportunities.

I specialize in navigating the messy middle where business constraints, environmental responsibility, and customer needs intersect. Whether I'm establishing organizational frameworks to scale small teams, implementing research infrastructure to democratize customer insights, or convincing stakeholders to learn before building, I focus on creating sustainable systems that outlast any single product launch.

My goal is to lead and mentor the next generation of product organizations, proving that design led thinking isn't a luxury, it's the foundation for building solutions that matter.

What mentees say

“Aziz is a really helpful mentor who is patient and sharing a lot of thoughtful feedbacks about my deck. Highly recommended!”

Yvonne Zhan, Product Designer at Aideate.ai

“Aziz was my first mentor at ADP and what a high standard he set! I got an honest feedback about my portfolio and valuable comments that helped me improve it. But there was more: we talked about today's job market, interview preparation and the qualities of a designer. Aziz shared not only insights, but also plenty of food for thought.”

Alena Antipenkova, Product Designer at BostonGene

“Thank you to Aziz with all your insights and knowledge around AI, I have learnt so much not only about your process, but whats in market, and how it may impact the design process in future. Excited to talk more about this soon, around any new learnings, thoughts on the future of design and anything else, thank you!”
