The KIM research group brings together academic scholars from diverse backgrounds to investigate how established and new businesses manage their organizational knowledge in their quest to exploit present and future business opportunities in order to remain competitive. The KIM research group is pleased to have the involvement of international researchers in the fields of knowledge management and innovation management and continuously works on the extension of its network.

The purpose of the KIM research group is to extend the scientific body of knowledge concerning the related fields of knowledge management and innovation management and to contribute to practice. The group´s approach is to investigate how businesses transform their knowledge into continuous improvements and innovative outputs in order to achieve sustainable business development.

The KIM research group takes a holistic view of knowledge management and innovation management and is interested in social and technological issues, as well as organizational and cultural aspects. It includes different theoretical lenses, uses different research methods, analyzes different types of organizations and explores KIM related topics in different countries.

This holistic view also includes the management of logistics processes, which requires systematic information, knowledge and innovation management to be continuously developed. This need also applies to cooperation through the whole chain of logistics and supply chain management, from consumer to raw material, with the purpose of creating effective and efficient flows.

KIM members have a broad portfolio of knowledge management and innovation management expertise gained from working with a variety of national and international private and public organizations. The aim is to use this expertise and to develop it further.

ARUNA has established a strong relationship with Architects, Urban designers and programmers, Landscape designers, Interior Designers, Civil Engineers, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Artists and other fields in order to achieve the best interdisciplinary results. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist die Untersuchung des Wissens- und Datenaustausches, basierend auf einem kognitiven Ansatz, in den frühen Stadien der architektonischen Entwurfsphase. Wir sind der Überzeugung, dass es möglich ist, Kreativität in architektonischen Entwürfen in bewusster Weise, vor allem in den frühen Stadien des kreativen Prozesses, gezielt zu verstärken. Zur Unterstützung der Konzeptionsphase soll es möglich sein, mit Hilfe eines Computerprogramms mit virtuellem Interface, ein Modell zu generieren. Dieser Ansatz zielt in die Richtung eines Metamodells (als Modell aller Modelle) als formales Werkzeug, um in frühen Phasen der architektonischen Entwurfsvorgänge von Einzelpersonen (Architekten/Designer) den Informationsaustausch innerhalb dieser Zeitspanne zu unterstützen. Da wir überzeugt sind, dass genau dieser Informationsaustausch wesentlich in der kreativen Leistung ist, sollte dieser Zusammenhang des metamodeling, in den anfänglichen Entwurfsphasen, der Grundstein für ein IT-Tool sein, dass unterstützend beiträgt diese Interaktivität zu ermöglichen.
