An East Tennessean working across the cultural and creative sectors with a foundation in design academia, focusing on strategy, research, and futures thinking. My specialty is the Saudi market, where I have been part of the early development of the design industry and the broader creative sector.

I began with design and expanded into cultural development, national strategy, and ecosystem direction. My focus is on how fields are formed, defined, and how their structure influences long-term outcomes. This includes developing frameworks and indexes for creative industries, alongside research examining cultural production and creative economies.

Futures thinking is a core aspect of my approach. It involves studying patterns, signals, and emerging directions to understand where fields are moving and how decisions made today influence future developments. This informs program development, sector guidance, and the positioning of cultural initiatives over time.

I am part of Rukun, a research, innovation, and strategy company that contributes Saudi-based insight to global conversations on culture and economic development. My focus is on applying this thinking through program architecture, research, and sector-focused initiatives that support national priorities and long-range development.

I founded Kingdom Creatives as a peer-led platform rooted in field knowledge. It documents the evolution of Saudi Arabia’s creative sector from within, connecting practitioners across disciplines and contributing to research, publications, and ongoing dialogue that support the sector’s growth and understanding.

I also advise firms, universities, and organizations across the creative and cultural sectors, contributing to research, program development, and strategy.
