Senior Lecturer (UX, Experience Design, Service Design) at HKMU
An experienced design educator and researcher. Currently working as an assistant professor with more than 20 years in multiple design fields. My recent work is on service design and experience design for meaningful experiences, particularly for the tourism industry. My PhD thesis was on integrating positive psychology principles into design practice. I am particularly interested in connecting academic research with professional practice.
“Bruce is an incredibly supportive mentor. Feeling lost in my career path, so I reached out to him with questions about transitioning to teaching path from corporate. He provided clear, actionable advice and shared real-world examples from the academia which made his guidance feel both practical and relatable. Thanks to his insights and encouragement, I now have the sense on what to do next.”
“It was a great experience talking to Dr.Bruce Wan. He understands the context of the questions very precisely and gave insights that is impactful not just for short term but for a long term. Glad that I booked a session with a right person who is approachable and insightful.”
“I had a great session with Dr Wan. He asked me a lot of questions on my objectives and shared a good range of wisdom in the academe practices that gave me a lot of helpful reminders, concepts, and guidance towards what I was looking to achieve. He's clearly a very patient and wise practitioner, and I'm looking forward to future sessions with him. Thank you!”
