Working with a leading international firm to produce internal tools and applications over a 3 month, part-time contract.

Professional Highlights:

B2B SaaS products, supporting hybrid workspaces.

Building design infrastructure (systems) and introducing new workflows and tools to support product designers and engineers. Defining principles, processes and strategy within the product team.

Product design, leading design with various stakeholders to specify and create features and applications as part of a wider range of products.

Exploring the use of AI as integration with existing product range, and for new opportunities.

Supporting the wider production team, hiring, onboarding and mentoring designers. Task and resource management.

Building a robust design system at the heart of our products.

Development and implementation of new guidelines for product. Establishing workflows and communicating and consulting decisions with wider design and frontend teams.

Exploring new services and technologies to support teams, and working with external agencies to develop guidelines and asset libraries.

Introducing new tools and design workflows, for more transparent process with shorter/fewer iterations. Introducing and documenting design patterns. Maintaining consistency. Creating and presenting keynotes. Supporting less experienced engineers with frontend development.

Designing, developing and maintaining websites and applications for consumer and internal use - adapting within the role as required for a given task or project. Working with the wider team to ensure products offered the best possible user experience, with a strong focus on accessibility. Optimising products to their specific platforms, incl. TV and gamepad, mobile, desktop etc.

Primarily building web templates based on concepts provided by designers. My work was required to be highly accessible and cross browser compatible. Other responsibilities included site architecture and wireframing, photography and research tasks.

Predominantly short projects working directly with client to produce web and app design and development. 

Additionally, projects related to design for print (such as film festivals, product advertising), copywriting and photography.

Web design and graphics for the company - largely for internal distribution. I worked within the marketing department in a junior capacity, learning from co-workers and adapting my skills to fit within a corporate environment.
