As the CMO and a member of the Group Executive Team for a PE back rapid growth company, my role is to evolve the marketing function at David Phillips, establish a solid infrastructure, expand the capabilities of the team, set the short- and long-term marketing strategy that broadens the reach of our messaging and generates demand.

Managing a team of up to 13 to conceive, develop and execute the Global Marketing Communications strategy across 3 business units - Apparel and Footwear, Services & Solutions and Performance Materials. 

With ownership of the content creation strategy, brand positioning and execution approach across online and offline channels. Providing strategic direction for the development of digital platforms and assets across the website, email, paid social, paid search and SEO.

Supporting the business strategy development with the management team by providing insight and analysis of market and industry trends. Identifying relevant market, customer and industry trends and priority opportunities to steer marketing strategy.

Responsible for marketing to businesses for Northern Europe – including UK, Ireland and the Nordics. A project lead in a number of Pan-European B2B marketing campaigns and programmes across a range of products, services and solutions. Covering both channel and end user marketing. Progressed through two promotions whilst at Toshiba. Reporting into the Sales Director for Northern Europe.

Responsible for the marketing of the Toughbook range within the UK and Ireland to both end users and channel partners with sector-specific messaging and targeted campaigns, reporting to the Sales Director for the UK and Ireland. Working with a budget of circa £350k, with a focus on event participation and lead generation campaigns.
