Senior User Researcher (Contract) at Department of Innovation, Science and Technology (U.K)
I started my career as a graphic designer and photographer before my curious nature and interest in people led me to the world of user research. I studied interaction design at Hyper Island in Stockholm, graduated with a master's degree in 2018, and now use my skills to help public and private sector organisations better understand their users and embed user research methodologies in their business.
By nature, I'm a skilled and passionate problem solver. I like to take a holistic view of user research and service design: looking not only at how organisations can respond to user needs, but also inspire and empower multi-disciplinary teams to work in a more user-centric way.
Outside of work, my passions include travel, photography and design. I'm trilingual and have lived and worked in multiple countries around the world (including Milan, Liverpool, Panama City, Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Barcelona and Madrid) which I believe gives me a global perspective and a deep understanding of different cultures. I'm also an avid reader of non-fiction books and always love to keep on top of the latest trends and innovations.
Currently working as a user research consultant (contract) in the public sector in the U.K.
βMy time with Carolina was both enjoyable and incredibly valuable. I was looking for validation on how to move forward in my career transition into UX Research, and she not only gave clear, honest guidance β she also offered insights I hadnβt even thought to ask about. Carolina is friendly, generous with her experience, and refreshingly realistic.β
βCarolina was super friendly and make talking to her easy. She was also really attentive and focused on helping me above all else. Would greatly recommend Carolina to anyone looking for general UX advice.β
βCarolina started the session with really helpful coaching questions which got me reflecting on where I am in my journey. She then shared really helpful reflections on things I hadn't even thought of, and gave practical suggestions on where I could go next. Time flew and I came away empowered.β
