As a Search Marketing Specialist, I am responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the SEO and Paid Search strategies for my clients in the hospitality industry. This entails budget and bid strategy management, keyword research, on-page optimization, ad copywriting, reporting, and blog research. I use Google Ads, Google Ads Editor, Search Ads 360, Search Console, Google Analytics, SEM Rush, Bing Places, Bing Webmaster Tools, YEXT, I/O Metasearch, WordPress, and more on a regular basis.

I work as part of a small team that oversees $100,000,000 in grant funding intended to help Wisconsin schools enhance safety through building upgrades and mental health trainings. I work directly with grantees to help them navigate Egrants and to ensure their reports are timely and accurate. I collaborate with my team members to process reports and reimburse funds in a timely manner. I also help maintain the electronic filing system put in place since the office went remote halfway through the grant period. I began at the DOJ as a Grants Specialist before moving into a Program and Policy Analyst role.

As part of the reference team I work to meet patron needs in face-to-face, phone, and email interactions. I help troubleshoot issues with e-readers and our various ebook platforms, as well as other technology and online resources as the need arises. I maintain several large sections of the circulating collection to ensure its timeliness, usefulness, and desirability. I also help develop programs throughout the year to attract and engage the community, including virtual programming and social media outreach.

As Assistant Director of the Alverno College Library, I help plan, implement, and evaluate the needs of our students, faculty, and staff. I assist in providing research services and instructional sessions, and act as a liaison to the School of Education, Interactive Media Design, and Communication. I work closely with instructors to better support the college's learning goals and curriculum. Additionally, I've continued my efforts as Alverno's Digital Initiatives Librarian by focusing on our online learning tools and platforms, maintaining our electronic resources, and making virtual library services more widely available.

At Quarles & Brady I assist in document delivery, daily filings, research requests, and mail processing. I also help maintain and update the library's print and periodical collection by cataloging in Liberty.

As a research assistant for the Encyclopedia of Milwaukee Project, I wrote entries for print and digital encyclopedia editions and headed the historic image research project. Entry writing entailed extensive archival research and writing for both academic and non-academic audiences. Image research required managing the project’s metadata protocol using Adobe Bridge, supervising undergraduate researchers, and working with editors to facilitate access to images. In addition to this, I also wrote understories and blog posts for the Encyclopedia website.

At MPM I assisted in an ongoing, department-wide digitization project. The Anthropology Internship entailed extensive cataloging of museum objects and metadata entry using KE Emu. I also had the opportunity to handle Museum artifacts, locate lost items in storage, and verify catalog numbers. As part of my internship, I also attended the Midwest Museums Association conference in Madison, WI.

As a teaching assistant at UWM, I worked with my supervising instructors to facilitate learning in the classroom and online. This involved attending lectures and leading discussions, working with students on challenging topics and concepts, grading coursework, proctoring exams, and working with the instructor to achieve learning goals. I gained a tremendous amount of experience with public speaking, facilitating discussions, and disseminating difficult information to large groups in a manageable way. This work also increased my familiarity with Native American history, socio-economic issues as explored through popular culture, and the social, cultural, and political history of the US in the 1960s.
