Lead Software Engineer at Wells Fargo
I've spent more than 20 years building software systems that have to work — not just in demos, but under real load, in regulated environments, across thousands of teams. Most of my career has been at the intersection of platform engineering and enterprise scale. At Wells Fargo, I built the automation framework that became the standard for how engineering teams test and validate software — running across 2,500+ projects, used by tens of thousands of engineers, still in production after a decade. More recently I've been designing cloud-native test execution platforms on Kubernetes handling hundreds of thousands of automated validations monthly. The problems I find interesting don't have clean solutions — how do you govern software quality across 25,000 engineers without creating bottlenecks? How do you build platforms flexible enough for every team but consistent enough to mean something? Outside of Wells Fargo, I review and judge for IEEE, ACM, Springer, and the Brandon Hall Excellence Awards. I publish applied research on AI and platform engineering — cited by researchers at Delft, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Southeast University, which still surprises me a little.
