My name is Charu and I am an experienced User Experience designer based in Turkey.
I started in the field of UX in 2012 and since then, I have gained experience in all aspects of User Experience design, including creating task flows, information architecture, generative research, evaluative research, design, optimization, and testing. I am skilled in using industry-standard tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Cloud, and I am adept at using a design system. I often work collaboratively with other teams, stakeholders, and users to identify problems and generate solutions. I have led company-wide workshops and critique sessions.
 I have a proven track record of success in shipping and optimizing products. As the UX Lead at PlusMinusOne, I was responsible for shipping and optimizing two products: Planty app and Math Hero app. As a result of my work, the success rate for a key flow in the Planty App increased from 51.2% to 92.7%. I have also led teams in the design of a Super App (containing 8 sub-apps) for a popular Turkish bank and a B2B desktop app that aims to build networks amongst employees of vast multinational organizations and encourage collaboration amongst them. I am proud to have received recognition for my work, including winning the Best App Award (Digital & Omni-channel technologies) for the Ejento App designed for Sompo Japan Insurance.
 I hold a Masters degree in Industrial Design from Domus Academy, Milan, and a Bachelor's degree in Design from NIFT, New Delhi. I have proactively updated my knowledge by taking various online courses such as Agile Methods for UX Design (IDF), Design for the 21st Century with Don Norman (IDF), Emotional Design - How to Make Products People Will Love (IDF), and Human Computer Interaction (UC San Diego, Coursera). 

Additionally, I enjoy connecting with others and sharing my knowledge and passions. I have experience as an instructor at UX Camp and as a workshop guide at UX Alive. I have also organized and led watercolor workshops (it was so much fun:)). I believe that my experience and willingness to share my knowledge make me well-suited to guide those just starting in the field of UX Design. I look forward to chatting with my future mentees <3
