Mujeres en UX es una comunidad independiente de mujeres que trabajan o están interesadas en la Experiencia de usuario. Fue creada por la diseñadora Carolina Sepúlveda y la periodista Mariana Valenzuela en enero de 2018. Gracias a la iniciativa de Sara Castillo, Uxer peruana, es que nace este deseo de traer también está gran iniciativa a Perú. Es por eso que tomando el gran reto y de la mano de las fundadoras en Chile comenzamos con la sede en Perú.

Nuestro principal objetivo es poder generar redes de apoyo entre las diferentes participantes y visibilizar la presencia femenina en la disciplina. Para lograrlo, la comunidad realiza reuniones mensuales donde se presentan temáticas inspiradoras y técnicas, para promover el compartir experiencias y conocimientos entre las mujeres UXers.

I am currently leading a multidisciplinary team of User Experience and User Interface designers, transforming 6 million people plans into reality through strategic human-centered design in the first bank in Peru: the BCP. 

From the design side, I bring alignment around vision, process and outcomes through strategies that will connect the business value to user goals, getting them to a better understanding on how to resolve problems understanding real people needs,  pushing mindset barriers and points of view aided with design thinking methodologies, research, UX, and foresight. As a facilitator, I help our team to synthesize learnings and insights through compelling workshops and dynamics giving them best strategies that we could apply  into our daily challenges. Also help stakeholders to diagnose painpoints and challenges early, giving them tools that will help them work through communication roadblocks across teams, improving relationships and driving better outcomes. From the management field, I am dedicated to improve and evolve our methodologies and best practices of how we create better experiences for our designers so they can design better through working in our Design Ops and Design System language, aligned with our core values and principles.

Currently involved fulltime in the Banco de Crédito del Perú's Innovation Center (Centro de Innovacxion) as customer experience designer. Working hand-on-hand with a team of talented individuals fully involved in the Bank transformation, leading design projects towards a shared vision and amazing innovation solutions in order to bring people awesome digital experiences.

Currently involved fulltime in the Banco de Crédito del Perú's Innovation Center project (Centro de Innovacxion) as Researcher/UX/UI Designer as part of Mckinsey team.

Working hand-on-hand in the creation of BCP Center of Innovation with a team of talented individuals fully involved in the Bank transformation, creating amazing solutions in order to bring BCP's customers an awesome experience.

As design lead I developed team skills and capabilities, I assessed and shift the communication and collaboration dynamics at play in my team and organization, recognized and leveraged the distinct mental models, goals, and needs of business, development and design team, increased transparency throughout the design process for Hyperbrand managers, gained alignment around vision, process and outcomes for every project managed taking care of every detail of the user experience end-to-end.

Graphic design of internal communication material

Responsibilities:

Currently optimize integrated visual design and concepts mainly for web layouts  and also for brochures, posters, banner ads, rich media banners, emails and more.

Design and implements work of a high visual and conceptual quality that is appropriate to content and intended audience, and exists within the framework of the institution's overall visual identity.

Adhere to agreed upon project management plan, including delivery schedules and budgetary considerations. Communicates with project team in all stages of design.

Stay current with print/or web design, production and technology skills.

Creates web and print-worthy files that reflect effective and efficient production values, considering concepts such as usability, navegability, user experience, SEO, etc. 

Make recommendations for new photography based on anticipated needs for upcoming projects.

Make presentations to clients, communicating creative vision and process, speaking with clarity and conviction.

SWITS Web design, also developed of services Brochures and email marketing for their translation and interpreting areas.
Brand development for Equal Footing Seminar, also flyers and posters.

Projoven is an entity of the Peruvian Ministry of Education. Whose aim is to train young people of scarce resources and then place them in the labour peruvian market to achieve a better future for themselves.
My job was to link the youth and the entity throughout creative advertising campaigns that could motivate them to be part of Projoven.
