Facilitating weekly design critiques and providing support and mentorship for DesignLab bootcamp students learning the ins and outs of UI and UX design.

Working directly with clients to establish and drive the creative vision of product projects across a multitude of digital mediums. Responsible for the execution and hand-off of high-fidelity deliverables as well as establishing and maintaining design libraries and systems. Experience leading project teams while directly collaborating with Developers, Experience Researchers, Technologists, and other UX Designers.

Leading UX/UI projects by conducting user research, developing personas, wireframing, building prototypes, and usability testing of product iterations. Designing visual deliverables such as high-fidelity user interfaces and kits. Experience with developing brands for small business entrepreneurs from concept to final guidelines.

Managed, photographed, and strategized content for six social media accounts (100k + followers) of Chef Stephanie Izard’s James Beard Award-Winning restaurants. Expanded the brand architecture for existing and new restaurant concepts by contributing to typography, iconography, color palette, photo, and illustration guidelines.

Crafted brand identities for major CPG companies such as MARS and Kelloggs by designing assets such as logos, typography, iconography, and packaging. Led client-facing meetings to present design and photography strategies. Directed multi-day photo shoots with experience coordinating interdisciplinary creative teams.

Designed layouts and managed post-production of monthly digital and print food publications for national supermarket clients such as Hannaford. Worked cross-functionally with teams to deliver interactive digital publications as well as high-quality print publications. Conceived, shot, and edited multimedia food content for the client’s digital presence.

Got my start as a designer by crafting editorial layouts for Boston Magazine, Boston Home and Boston Weddings magazines. Assisted with styling, lighting, production and editing of studio photoshoots. Created relationships with contributing artists and photographers to gather artwork for the magazine. Experience with administrative tasks in an art department such as sending out art returns and coordinating photography contracts.

Independently learned the ropes of editorial layout design execution and personally launched a redesign of the magazine. Refreshed creative efforts doubled the average readership of the magazine. Established a new style guide to ensure consistent design. Photographed and conceptualized editorial photoshoots and created original cover art.

Contributed weekly posts to the MissKL blog. Wrote product descriptions for items on Karmaloop.com with experience in SEO. Wrote fashion brand biographies.

EVVY Award Winning Best Print Publication of 2013. Managed a team of more than 60 writers, designers, copyeditors, bloggers, and stylists. Scheduled and facilitated article pitch meetings. Wrote feature-length articles for the magazine. Oversaw status and production of entire magazine and work flow. Contributed to editorial photo shoots by directing and styling models.
