About Cleber de Campos

Design Director at Nomad Studio

I’m a Brazilian-born, London-based designer and currently a Design Director at Nomad Studio.

Previously, I worked at NB Studio and Pentagram London, where I was an Associate Partner in Marina Willer’s team. Alongside my studio work, I founded and write the blog On Colour Off Colour, a space to explore ideas around colour and design.

Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of clients—from small independent organisations to million-pound rebrands—across arts, culture, luxury, tech, charities, and even witchcraft.

I’m interested in how evolving technologies shape creative work and production, and I advocate for flexible workflows that combine different ways of making, from AI to lo-fi, hands-on methods.

My favourite metaphor for a strong idea is a big ball of wool: it has a solid core and an endless thread that can be pulled and developed in many directions. Designers, to me, are the thinkers, makers, and authors of what that idea becomes.

I hold a Master’s in Graphic Design from UAL: London College of Communication. I’ve lectured part-time at the University of Greenwich.
