👋Hi! I'm Colleen. I love to talk about financial inclusion, national parks, soccer, cheeseburgers, and my family. I am also deeply passionate about understanding people. This stems from years living abroad, looking for ways to communicate and build relationships with people around me.
Today I lead UX at Affirm, a financial technology company based in the Bay Area. I've spent the last 8 years in the FinTech space researching spending, savings, and credit at a handful of startups. I spend a lot of time thinking about how to bring research results to life for my teams, how to improve our company's ability to build from a customer's POV and how to partner effectively with pals across our growing organization.
Previously, I was based in Brussels, Belgium, designing research and internationalization strategies for consumer packaged goods, service design, and tech products in both public and private spaces, across 4 continents. I'm also a "recovering academic", and now spend time working with others looking to make the jump from academia to the private sector.
