About Daniel Perotoni Felippetti
Experience Design Practice Leader | Senior Design Manager at IBM iX
Hi, I’m Daniel — a design leader with 30 years in the industry, currently leading the Enterprise Experience Design practice at IBM iX in Brazil. My career has lived at the intersection of design, technology, and business from the start, and in recent years that’s translated into building and running large multidisciplinary teams — while staying hands-on enough to still get into the work myself. Years of consulting for major clients also taught me a lot about executive presence, diplomacy, and how to hold a room — lessons I try to pass on as much as any design skill.
I care a lot about helping people grow — not just technically, but into professionals who can navigate ambiguity, own their work, and speak confidently to stakeholders who don’t think in design terms. I’m direct and pretty informal as a mentor: I’ll ask hard questions, but I’m genuinely invested in getting you somewhere real. I mentor in English, Portuguese, or Spanish — whichever you’re most comfortable in.
I can help you with: Growing from individual contributor into design leadership Structuring and leading design teams Portfolio and career narrative reviews Navigating stakeholder and business conversations
