About Daniel Tauber
Product Design Leader at Self-employed
I’m a hands-on product design leader with 20+ years of experience specializing in 0-to-1 innovation, design × AI, and new interaction paradigms. Deeply passionate about great design, I have a background in user-centered design, interaction design/HCI, and graphic design. My expertise spans user experience design, product strategy, and people management.
Currently, I support ambitious AI startups as a fractional senior IC and head of design, redefining the creative process and shaping agent UX.
Most recently, as Executive Design Director at IDEO, I led multidisciplinary teams in designing and launching breakthrough products and services at the intersection of UX and emerging technologies. Before IDEO, I designed mobility experiences in-house at BMW, developed novel music creation tools with ROLI, invented new interfaces at the MIT Media Lab, and helped shape the future of global brands at Native Design.
Throughout my career, my work has resulted in several UK and US patents for interaction and interface design and has been recognized by Core 77 Design Awards, the iF Design Award, Innovation by Design, CES Innovation Award, the Design Museum London, Salone del Mobile Milan, Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Étienne, Design Week, The Guardian, and others.
