• Intros + Networking + Job Searching (20 min): Welcome and nice to meet you! I'm looking forwarding to getting to know you better and connecting. I've been passionate about mentorship for many years, and I enjoy helping others figure out how to find their best career fit. I also like to brainstorm technical solutions and technologies that will help you achieve your project goals. This session is designed get to know each other and provide guidance on the following: - Applying for jobs - Interview advice - Resume review - Technical consulting If you'd like to dive deeper into designing your career path, acing technical interviews, or specific technical consulting, please see my Advanced sessions!
• Conquering Technical Job Interviews (60 min): In these sessions, we'll focus on doing a mock interview for software engineer positions. There are a few broad categories of interviews for these positions: 1. Recruiter interview screens 2. Hiring manager interview screens 3. Technical interviews 3a. Coding technical interviews 3b. System design technical interviews 4. General behavioral interviews Let me know which of these you would like to focus on for each session as they are all different and involved in different stages of the interview process. During each session I will: 1. Provide you with a technical interview question 2. Generate written feedback for you after the session on what went well and what can be improved 3. Reference resources and materials you should look into to further your preparation At the end, I'll give you a copy of my template guide to applying for software engineering jobs so you too can optimize your preparation for your next role!
• Resume Review + Revamp (55 min): Are you finding yourself applying to 100s of jobs and getting barely no responses? It's frustrating to be preparing for interviews that aren't happening, all while sending your resume into the digital void. Let's work together to fix that. I have interviewed as a software engineer and manager at 100s of large tech companies include Microsoft, Google, Stripe, Reddit, and many more. I've also been on the other side of the table as a hiring manager for over 100+ candidates. We'll focus on how you can get your resume past ATS/AI screening tools and in the hands of a recruiter/HM who will scan your resume in < 20s to determine whether you are a fit for a position. We'll then make sure that your resume is rising to the top of that pile so you can get an interview setup. The world of job searching has changed drastically over the past couple of years. Let's make sure you are staying ahead of the game.
