About David Fite

Senior UX/Product Designer at Self

My path into product design started on the branding and marketing side, which gave me a foundation rooted in meaning, clarity, and consumer behavior. Not many designers come to this field with a degree in English Literature, but in an industry increasingly shaped by AI and language, that background has proven more relevant than ever. Most of my recent work has been in enterprise and SaaS, where I've learned to spot the human gaps in product experiences that technical thinking alone tends to miss.

My design peers have long encouraged my mentorship approach, and I've seen how much a team benefits from honest feedback and real psychological safety. I'm here because I want to help designers who are earlier in their journey, especially those navigating the kind of career pivots and transitions that shaped my own path.
