Product Owner at FAIRTIQ
Having started my professional life with a solid computer science education and an added bachelor's degree, learning by doing has always been very important to me.
From a software developer I have specialized in a product owner of IT applications. Instead focusing on a specific sector, the diversification of my products is very important to me. They differ in terms of size, scope, industry and requirements. But two things are can be found in every product: simplicity and pragmatism. I also discovered these two points in successful entrepreneurship at sidefyn GmbH, a small company that acts currently as a personal playground ;)
I am happy to present my three major products I've contributed so far: Fairtiq Core (FAIRTIQ AG) since 2020: While the classic public transport user is getting the most simple experience by using check-in and check-out, the project is so far the most complex and largest of all. I work in the core of the system and deal with topics such as: Transformation from check-out to be-out, how to improve the quality in journey mapping, internationalization, automation, fraud detection/prevention and customer care. The resulting SDK is used by our own apps as well as by partners integrated and enables easy and seamless travel.
kitAdmin (DV Bern AG) 2015-2020: A daycare administration software for users with little IT experience and who focus on looking after small children. The market is the whole of Switzerland with a focus on the Canton of Bern. As a product owner, I was responsible for all areas: acquisition, sales, requirements management, development, strategy and customer care. I had people to support me in all areas. After 4 years in the product, over 140 day care centers have used the software and were very satisfied customers.
aaremarzili (sidefyn GmbH) since 2012: How warm is the Aare river now? Actually, it's all about that question and the response of it. A one-man show resulting a product in which I go through all layers by myself. Nevertheless, the product never stops: There are new technologies to try out, there are connections in the data history to be visualized and forecast models to be developed; as well as keeping an eye on a return on investment through advertising or sales. 500,000 hits from over 100,000 people are counted annually. In a nutshell, however, it can be summarized as an hobby and playground on my part.
