General Partner at DataPower Ventures

David Yakobovitch is General Partner of DataPower Ventures, an early stage VC fund for the data economy, and he is Venture Partner Advisor for Legendary Ventures, a VC fund focused on consumer, retail, and technology startups (I.e., Pinterest, Macy’s, SpaceX).

In the community, David is host of the leading Applied AI and Responsible AI podcast HumAIn. He coordinates tech startup and BigTech ecosystem events for venture capitalists, founders, developers and operators through Tech Dinner Series. He is an active keynote speaker and guest lecturer at universities including Carnegie Mellon and Columbia University.

Previously, David served as a Global Product Lead at Google, where he built data products for Google Ads. He also served as an AI Policy Ambassador for Google’s Global Affairs, where he was an AI Principles Advisor who stress tested Google’s AI-first software and hardware products, and he supported Partnerships for Google for Startups in NYC with VC Firms and Accelerators.

Prior to Google, David led Technical Enablement at SingleStore, an HTAP cloud database similar to Azure Synapse and BigQuery. Previously, he led Enterprise Data Science Professional Services at Stride and Adecco across Financial Services, Retail, and Telco industries.
