After moving to the Bay Area with my family for my partner's new job, I decided to expand O2B Consulting's presence here, leading the digital strategy and product management practice. Since then, I've helped clients in the private and public sectors deliver strategic roadmaps and digital solutions to improve their efficiency and better serve their customers.

I joined LD in 2022 to help lead the migration of several of its monolithic-stack e-commerce websites to a shared microservices platform and fix some chronic availability and resilience issues. It took us eighteen months to migrate the first e-commerce property, but that gave us the roadmap to migrate others in rapid succession. Having multiple e-commerce properties powered by a common set of shared backend services enabled true cross-category shopping insights, unlocking new product discovery, personalization, and purchase experiences across Loblaw’s digital properties, accelerating the time to market of new customer features.

Loblaw Digital (LD) is a division of Loblaw Companies Limited, Canada's largest retailer. LD builds and operates various digital businesses, including online grocery, pharmacy, beauty, apparel, and loyalty programs. With over 200,000 employees, Loblaw operates nearly 2,500 stores, generating $53.9 billion in revenue in 2023.

I was contracted by ZephyrTel to own and complete the migration of a portfolio of telco solutions at different stages of cloud migration, and to deploy a new go-to-market strategy supported by an 80% reduction in total cost of ownership claim for targeted medium-sized telecom clients.

ZephyrTel (now Skyvera) is a private firm in the global telecommunications industry. It offers cloud and on-premise solutions, including content delivery and mobile device management. Based in Austin, TX, with 500+ employees and estimated annual revenues in the nine-figure range.

Based in Toronto, Canada, I conducted workshops for clients in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil with their C-level executives and experts to address their primary business challenges, and delivered rapid-prototype proofs of concept to showcase AWS cloud services' benefits. Examples of some of the solutions delivered include an ML model feature for Brazil's judicial branch, which improved case precedent management efficiency by 25% and a voice-activated, hands-free solution for the operating room that increased nurse capacity by 30% in a Texas hospital.

Envision Engineering is a specialized group within AWS that builds proofs of concept that solve specific business challenges, demonstrating the "art of the possible" with cloud services and accelerating the digital transformation of clients globally.

I was transferred to Amazon Japan to own the mobile shopping experience and ended up delivering new experiences across all platforms and leveraging user insights and AI/ML to create Japanese-specific shopping experiences (personalization, deal targeting, deal notifications, etc.) for 39 million monthly active users.

Amazon Japan G.K. is a subsidiary of Amazon providing products and services, including e-commerce, cloud computing, and digital streaming to consumers in Japan. Employs 10,000+ people with annual revenue in the 11-figure range.

At Amazon, I owned the 3rd-party Cell phones & Accessories category, where I introduced Prepaid cell phones as a product category, accelerating revenue growth by nearly 45% YoY. I also improved price competitiveness for 3rd-party sellers, and retail margins by lowering fulfillment costs with the use of ML to recommend the best packaging size and introduced cheaper shipping packaging options.

At CPEX (Customer Packaging Experience), I launched the Frustration-Free and E-commerce Ready Packaging certification process portal in Seller Central, to optimize packaging for sustainability and durability, delivering additional savings and lower prices for customers. 

With Vendor Systems, I partnered with international expansion teams to integrate trade compliance, product certifications, and shipping consolidation workflows in Vendor Central.

In my first assignment to P&G Professional (PGP), which is an umbrella commercial sub-branding for known consumer brands such as Mr. Clean, Tide, and Dawn, I played an advisory role for PGP's global expansion. As a consumer insights knowledge expert, I had the opportunity to develop, from the ground up, the first needs-based segmentation model for business decision-makers and their influencers, which was the basis for an innovation pipeline exceeding $800 million NPV. My second assignment with PUR water filtration systems required custom work outside existing research techniques to understand the effects of co-branding (Whirlpool/PUR).

P&G's Consumer & Market Knowledge (CMK) team is an internal consulting group that provides consumer insights, market analysis, and data-driven recommendations to drive growth for P&G's brands globally. Operating in over 180 countries, P&G employs approximately 100,000 people and generates annual revenues exceeding $80 billion.

After launching the Latin America Product Development Center, I joined the region's product marketing organization to own the commercial mobility (notebooks, tablets, smartphones) product line development and competitive market positioning. 

In this role, I leveraged my internal connections from developing regions that shared the same low price band challenge to create a new low-cost notebook specifically designed for developing markets, in my case, Brazil, addressing the competitive threat from local gray market alternatives. This offered local customers a cost-effective solution from a reputable brand, HP, eventually lifting HP to a market leader position in Latin America.
