I have about 20 years of experience in the Software Engineering industry, and currently work as the Sr Director of Engineering, at Cisco. I am responsible for Quality Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering for Cisco's Duo Security series of products including Multi Factor Authentication, Single Sign On, Passwordless and Identity Platform. This is a team of totally 115 engineers, managers, and directors reporting to me. Together we manage the infrastructure and services that reliably handle about 1-2 billion authentications a month, with low latency for our customers.

I have been working in the Cybersecurity domain and have been involved with building AI/ML based products since 2014. At Pindrop Security we had ML based models that detected fraudulent calls coming into our customer's call centers and routed them away from Customer service departments to the Fraud departments, for example. Without ML, this kind of service was impossible to provide, at scale. At Duo, we use AI to detect when customer authentications appear deviate from their normal usage patterns and provide additional security controls, only when deviations are detected.

I'm also on the board of Advisors of an AI based Software Quality startup called AquilaTest.io. I've presented at Software Quality and Reliability related topics at a conference in Mexico called iNLAC, in 2021, 2022 and 2024. I am a technical reviewer for Manning Press. I reviewed the manuscript for an upcoming book on Contract Testing and another upcoming book on ML Workloads with Kubernetes. I've been invited to be a Judge for Hackathons organized by the University of Michigan, MHacks 2024, and the University of Detroit-Mercy, 2024. I have been guest lecturing the University of Santa Clara extensions, for the last few years, teaching Object Oriented project 2 of the years and Introduction to Cloud Computing one year.

I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Madras and an MBA from Great Lakes Institute of Management. I am pursuing another MBA at the Ross School of Business, with the expected graduation being 2026.
