ADP ADVANCE I offer a fee-based, 3- or 5-session series through ADP Advance, a structured, hands-on experience that helps you practically meet your goals. In the free introductory session, I start by listening, then we clarify your goals to create a strengths-based action plan for the session series.
WHAT I OFFER Whether you're a UX researcher, design strategist, service designer, or moving into these areas, I help you tackle real-world challenges—team challenges on the job, advancing your craft, moving into leadership, or landing your next role. I also help UX researchers update their methods to design ethically and effectively with AI.
WHY I've been where you are. I lived through three previous tech disruptions and uncovered clues that helped me move up into roles I enjoyed. At startups, enterprises, and consultancies, I built deep expertise in research, strategy, and design. Since 2004, I've mentored others as a UX and service design educator, including as a founding professor and director of the first named, full-time service design BFA/MFA program in the US.

Sessions with Dianna Miller
- Free Introductory Session (30 min): For new clients. During this 30-minute free introduction/intake session, tell me about yourself and your current challenges. We'll talk about ways I can support you, next steps, and discuss ways to tailor a 3- or 5-session coaching experience so you can proactively and measurably move toward your goals in as little as one month.
- 3-sessions: Standing Out in the Job Market (60 min): In these mentorship sessions, you'll receive personalized guidance and hands-on practice to help you move along a more effective, lucrative, and satisfying career path that is unique to your strengths and passions. Learn what successful professionals do to move beyond the usual "100s of job applications" process by improving how you connect with others and tell natural, yet attention-getting stories about yourself. We'll try techniques in a safe space, so you walk away from each session with updates you can immediately use to turbocharge your resume, portfolio, presentations, current performance reviews, and networking plan. Sessions can be weekly or bi-weekly, depending on your timetable. They include asynchronous messaging and file sharing on ADPList, so we can continue making progress on your goals in between sessions. I have experience working with professionals from recent graduates to senior managers and can meet you wherever you are at in your career journey.
- 5 Sessions: Charting an Impactful Career Path (70 min): Times of technological and societal uncertainty also create powerful opportunities for reinvention. If you are feeling stuck around what to do next in a UX/Product career you've invested so much time, money, and energy into, these sessions will help you sort out where you're going. Together, we'll brainstorm and research new options, then identify practical steps to strengthen your skills (if needed) to showcase your unique, professional value in ways that will get recognized by the right teams. We’ll also look at how to strategically integrate AI into your practice: where your human strengths distinguish you from AI, and where AI can effectively support your work. I’ve been where you are and have learned mindsets and techniques that transformed my own career and earnings. I’ve also seen them work for colleagues and former students. We’ll tailor the sessions to your goals, but keep them action-oriented. You'll probably have homework, but I promise, it's the kind that will leave you feeling relieved and excited about your next move, whether it's gaining greater influence in a current role, preparing for promotion, or landing a more satisfying and better-paying opportunity elsewhere. This package includes messaging and file sharing with me on ADPList in between sessions.
