About Edu Giansante

Head of Community at Edublin, ex-Dropbox, Zynga, Wix, VMware

Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, I moved to Ireland in 2008, which is when he started his first expats community, Edublin, which has now over 50 million video views and over 1 million followers on social combined.

While building Edublin I also joined Zynga, back in 2010 to lead a Community team globally. Team was great and due to our results, I was invited to join Dropbox in 2014 and kick off their community strategy from scratch. I learned a lot and worked with the smartest people ever. In 2019 I decided it was time to move and join something different. That's when I started as a senior manager, helping the digital transformation team at VMware.

I'm honoured to have been elected the Online Community Professional of the Year 2020 by CMX.

In 2021 I moved to Wix as Head the Community and I'm excited with the team I'm building and our future.

On a more personal note, I wrote a book called 'Abrindo Portas' (opening doors in PT-BR) and I live by the mountains with my beagle, Danone.
