Responsible for setting the UX Vision over the Payments & Services Foundations: PayEx, PayPl, PayTax, PayFx (Foreign Exchange) and Work Management teams. Developing a platform to support multiple geographies carries with it many challenges, empathy for our customers, advocate and deliver impactful experiences that connect to their goals and create great outcomes, the belief here is that in the end, the customer experience is a derivative of the platforms capabilities. 

Managing the growth, quality of work, tactical tradeoffs and partnering with other cross-functional partners across Upwork in an effort to balance design excellence and roadmap completion. Delivering impact in these three buckets: Purpose, People, Process.

Purpose and Process: expert collaborator across the Payments business unit to advocate for product consistency through all end-to-end design strategies and initiatives for work streams within the three platform teams: encompassing PayEx, PayTax and Work Management foundations via our dynamic dual-sided marketplace B2B & B2E Services.

People and their Values: continuously demonstrate exceptional leadership in managing product design teams by setting the UX vision, developing platforms across multiple geographies, and advocating for impactful customer experiences as our products evolve and refine in our marketplace. I focus on mentoring and coaching, fostering a diverse and inclusive community, creating growth opportunities for team members, and motivating them to achieve their professional goals. Additionally, I excel in cross-functional collaboration, streamlining processes, and driving design excellence.

Identified high-impact opportunities for our PayEx/Tax and Contracts initiatives:
+ User specific in-app moments in contract management capabilities.  
• Increase the average bonus, and hourly rate per contract. (fcst. $1.9M) 
• Improve tax compliance from 95% to 100% (est. exposure $5M) 
• Expand Indirect Tax to additional 49 countries (est. exposure $12M)
• Migrate card payment processing as painless debit routing (Braintree, est. impact of $1.5M)
+ Membership upgrade/downgrade journeys that improved sentiment and increased adoption (CSAT, NPS) & (checkout bounce rate)
+ Promotional code tooling for external partnerships (est. impact $6.8M annually)
+ Optimized experiences that positively impacted retention, acquisition, and overall revenue growth. 
• Increased 1% of offer acceptance and decreased cancellations to contracts, (est. impact $3M)

Made a concerted effort to enable talent on platform stand out and highlight their unique skills, through Availability Badges, Boosted Proposals and new Boosted Profiles. Our suite of ads & monetization products are the fasting growing revenue in ’23.  
+ Established the growth and evolution of pricing experience design strategy by collaborating closely with executive leadership, revenue strategy & cross functional partners to build a conversion engine that drove growth in under 2 years: 
• Boosted Proposals - Availability Badge refresh (adoption, fix forgetfulness $1.1M baseline), 
• Launching elastic slotting (est. impact of $4.5M)
+ Prioritizing clarity of information and contextual timing of upgrade moments, building trust and confidence in product. 
• Boosted Profiles 11-12M unique searches per year, (est. impact of $3.9M)
+ Connected end to end experiences in key initiatives to drive revenue growth for all in-app conversion, transition, retention and promotion efforts across multiple channels.  
• Monetization: Double our subscriber penetration to 23% (from 11.5%) of active FLs (est. impact of $12.5M annually)
