Partnering with the other council members, we are contributing design ideology and user feedback on Deque's accessibility Figma plugin axe for Designers to help mature the product and influence the product roadmap.  The council's overall objective is to shift-left to prevent the creation of accessibility issues further down the production process. This is a volunteer, year-long position. My personal aim is to help the design and accessibility communities to help make the overall process easier and more efficient for all parties.

...but mostly, I spend my time analyzing data, asking questions, iterating, interacting with users, and learning.

At AIMIA, I assisted in the implementation of strategic UX enhancements through wireframing, creating development / design guides, conducting content audits, developing prototypes, and carrying out extensive market & user research.

I was tasked with providing strategic implementation recommendations to enhance the overall user experience and engage new & existing users, through analyzing the existing experience and researching existing market trends and standards. This includes wireframing to address content layout, information architecture, interaction functionality, and specifications for responsive or cross-device experiences that adhere to industry best practices.

Some of the clients I worked with are Hallmark, Toyota Financial Services, Subaru, General Motors, General Motors Accessories, Pampers, MYER one, ANZ Wealth, Michelin, Schiff Move Free, Real Rewards, and Breedsmart.

At Glantz, I provided HTML, CSS, Javascript, and WordPress development for many Chicago area clients, and server maintenance for clients hosted on the Glantz servers.

Working with a team of graphic designers, we were able to provide custom-designed WordPress implementations that were easy for our clients to update, easy for users to navigate, and were search engine optimized.

In order to manage our clients on our server, I did routine database updates and maintenance, as well as created backups via SSH.

At Voila!, I was part of a remote team which developed HTML/CSS/jQuery and WordPress websites from .PSDs for both small and mid-sized companies.

I developed custom WordPress themes from scratch, as well as custom plugins to empower users to manage their content in the easiest manner possible.

At Karwoski & Courage, I worked closely with 3M Dental to create innovative interactive banner ads via Flash & ActionScript, magazine and event advertising in InDesign, and mass HTML emails which were required to work cross-browser.

While working with the Target.com Taxonomy & Findability departments, I developed custom SQL queries that allowed the backend team to access specific search parameters to further enhance the Target.com website.

In preparation for the Target.com redesign in 2011, I was part of a small team which researched market competitors and developed a strategic high-level plan for the broader teams to consume.
