Product Design Manager at Netflix
Hi, I'm Emily! 👋🏻
I lead the Connection product design team at Netflix. We focus on evolving and deepening how Netflix members engage with content, with the goal of building loyalty and retention. Previously, I spent nearly 8 years working on the Growth product design team at Netflix. I’m fascinated by the psychology that drives purchasing decisions, and I love nerding out over the complexity of growth design.
I believe the best products are built by diverse teams who represent their users, and I'm committed to making space for new voices, non-traditional students and underrepresented groups in the design community.
Beyond my day job, I operate a one-woman design studio specializing in hand lettering, illustration, and bespoke paper goods.
I believe wholeheartedly in the phrase, "Always be growing."
If you’re interested in design mentorship, book a session and we can chat about anything on your mind. Here’s what’s often on mine: finding mission in the work, improving engineering collaboration, and making a business case for good design.

I was too excited about our session, and I was surprised to see that Emily was too; that meant so much to me! She took her…”
“I had a wonderful time chatting with Emily! She's especially kind and respectful. If you're curious about effectively collaborating with non-designers, she is definitely the person to ask! Her perspective and advice were super insightful.”
“I would like to thank Emily for offering me a great mentoring session. It was truly inspiring to learn about her amazing design journey and rich design experience. She gave me really insightful and actionable feedback on my portfolio, and satisfactorily addressed all of my questions.”
