Eric Reichbaum

UX Writing Team Leader

I lead Fiverr's team of talented UX writers. We're constantly trying to improve the buyer and seller experience through simple (and cheerful) copy.

I help UX writers and content designers with everything from career advice, to portfolio reviews and interview preparation.

Fiercely focused on collaboratively solving user problems through content strategy and design, using research and A/B testing. Guarded our company's tone and voice while improving conversion, and engagement, all while keeping things clear for users in 43 different languages. Experience with new product development, mobile web, mobile apps, desktop, and marketing.

I also managed a team of core and senior copywriters, ensuring that their craft and strategic thinking were constantly growing and evolving, setting them up for success in their career. I worked closely with all teams across our business unit to make sure that the copy and design are aligned between all teams and areas.

I managed a team of copywriters and video editors that provided all content required to match the needs across the business, as well as produced, shot, and edited videos for YouTube and the LoveKnitting and LoveCrochet websites. Coordinated with freelance writers and contributors, I sourced blog posts, evergreen how-to's, and video tutorials driven by SEO objectives. I also worked with the social media, community, and email teams to develop content to support their campaigns.

I served as the copy guru for all departments at LoveCrafts. On any given day, I might have tightened up the writing on a 404 page document, spruced up a job description, humanized a Privacy Statement, crafted a press release about our client's latest contribution to the crafting landscape, helped a department best convey their sincere dismay at a delayed order, or came up with a few puns for the company newsletter. I was also responsible for translating the tone of voice guide for the US audience and creating copy across the business in marketing, content, and product teams that appeals to the US customer.

As Dreamcanyon prepared to launch its first wearable tech product, the Dreamband, I was brought on to handle all social media marketing and digital content leading up to the launch.

As a content writer at B&H Photo, I wrote technical product descriptions, hands-on reviews, catalog copy, press releases, product announcements, and more for B&H's website, catalog, and blog.

Managed Chris Buck's extensive digital and film catalog, scanned negatives, assisted on photoshoots for GQ, The New Yorker, Wall Street Journal.

Assisted on shoots for the New York Times, edited and retouched images for editorial use.

Freelance photographer, specializing in Music, Travel, and Portrait photography.

Since 2008 I have written for a variety of outlets, covering everything from fishing to photography, fashion to software. I have developed the unique ability to turn boring facts into engaging prose, and have gained the knowhow to write interesting articles about topics that were previously unfamiliar to me.

I have also honed the ability to write at breakneck speed, often turning in assignments before they've been assigned. I thrive when working under pressure, knowing I have a deadline to meet, and can often be found hunched over a computer hard at work until the wee hours of the morning.

I drink a coffee to get me going, tea to set the mood, and a pint to celebrate when the work is complete.
