About Erin Murphy
Senior Product Designer at Carbon Five
I’ve practiced design for nearly eight years across a diverse set of industries from aerospace, media, infrastructure, and architecture. Through these valuable partnerships, I’ve learned that the technology is as good as the connections and collective understanding of the people building the tools.
I’m striving to channel my talents towards teams and communities that wish to elevate people, and lower the barriers of entry into complex domains. I use a suite of skills from UX/UI, storyboarding, writing, and illustration to build better software and ultimately make information more accessible.

What mentees say
“Loved talking to Erin! She was super helpful and kind; she's had a pretty varied job experience so it was great hearing her insights on different types of companies (e.g. in-house vs. design agency). She gave great advice on how to approach the job hunt and what to focus on as a designer early in my career. Looking forward to another session!”
“Erin's work experiences span across industries but are rooted in her ability to communicate with and understand the people she has designed for. The meeting I had with her was much the same - she was perceptive, insightful, and generously offered help. Her art is super impressive too! I'm looking forward to our next meeting.”
